TV Review: Two and a Half Men - "Slowly and in a Circular Fashion"

Season 9 - Episode 13
CBS (US)

A boardroom struggle ends with Alan getting everything he's ever wanted. Two and a Half men post Charlie Sheen hasn't always been "winning" but it has been pretty solid. This episode pretty much followed that pattern.

Walden finds out that his mother and ex-wife can outvote him on decisions within his company. A quick chat with new squeeze Zoe (handily a lawyer) finds that he can add someone else to the board to tie up the vote, which then would give him a tiebreaker. Enter Alan. Being a director affords him $50,000 a year, and knowing how weak Alan is, Walden adds his name to the title deeds of the house. It all works out perfectly for Alan, and there's a few good laughs along the way.

The season has been pretty good. There's not been a lot from some of the old characters (Berta is disappointingly absent again, while Evelyn, Judith and Herb are practically nonexistant) and Jake is barely on screen for more than a minute an episode, but the new characters have been pretty good. Judy Greer has been a delight as Bridgit, and Sophie Winkleman's Zoe has been a nice addition. Once again, not great, but entertaining enough.
